UVC against CORONA
First identified in December 2019, the novel coronavirus SARS-CoV-2 and its rapid worldwide spread have triggered a global pandemic and spread of covid-19 disease.
- Hygiene measures have never been more central to social life than since the outbreak of this disease. Especially during and after the introduction of measures to gradually ease the lockdown caused by the Corona crisis, hygiene is extremely important.
- Coronaviruses are infectious organic structures that spread outside cells in the environment.
- According to information provided by the Federal Ministry of Health on 1 June 2020 and based on scientific findings of the Robert Koch Institute, transmission of coronaviruses is possible via surfaces as well as via indoor air.

The products we offer, which are based on UVC technology, are suitable for removing coronaviruses and other microorganisms from both surfaces and air. It must always be taken into account that UVC disinfection only prevents the spread of the coronavirus in the long term in combination with other cleaning and hygiene measures and thus protects against new infections.
We have compiled further information in our “Question and Answer” section.
“We know that corona viruses can survive for a certain amount of time on inanimate surfaces such as metal, glass or plastic. The stability in the environment depends on many factors such as temperature, humidity and the nature of the surface.”

“Investigations indicate that the novel corona virus can also be transmitted via aerosols. Aerosols are droplet nuclei smaller than five micrometers that can be released during normal speech, but especially when singing or laughing and speaking loudly. These droplet nuclei can remain airborne for long periods of time and potentially transmit viruses.”
